What kind of game is it?
Real-time squad tactics, seen from above. You command squads of soldiers, tanks and guns, not single heroes. It is inspired by the classic PC squad-tactics games: men take cover, get pinned under fire and break, and most shots miss.
Where do the maps come from?
From OpenStreetMap, the free map of the world built by volunteers. Every battlefield is a real place, and its buildings, woods, roads and hedges are drawn from the map data for that spot.
Can I play against a friend?
Yes. Any War has 2-player online multiplayer through Game Center.
Do I need an internet connection?
The historic battles play offline. Anywhere on Earth fetches real terrain from OpenStreetMap, so it needs a connection, as does online multiplayer.
Is there a tutorial?
